According to auto industry sources, the sales of new foreign imported cars in Japan was increased 21 percent in a single month of January 2012. This figure is included of Japanese cars manufacturing out of Japan plants in other countries. The grow in sales is believed due to the fuel-economy models including Hybrid cars. Nissan was ranked No.1 as best selling cars in terms of quantity with its new model Nissan March which is actually manufactured in their Thailand and re-imported to Japan for domestic sales in Japanese market.
While ranked at second position was Volkswagen, which sold imported models manufactured in Germany. Beside this, Mercedes-Benz was ranked in third place with sales of more than 2000 cars in Japanese domestic market which is a solid increase of nearly 37 percent, while BMW Japan was not ranked in best-three this time.
